Health and Safety
At CBS, the health and safety of our students are important considerations. We take all reasonable steps to provide a safe and caring environment for children, staff and our visitors.
Properly trained medical staff are on hand to deal with all health-related matters
CBS has its own extensive air-conditioned bus transportation system which caters for children all the way from 10th of Ramadan through to Maadi - and everywhere in between.
The uniform policy at CBS helps create a safe and orderly environment, instill discipline, and eliminate the competition and distractions caused by varied dress styles.
Students are expected to arrive at school in uniform every day except for “out of uniform days”. Students who come to school out of uniform without a valid, written excuse are sent home.
We expect each student to take pride in their school by keeping their uniforms clean and neat. On days that students have Physical Education, they are expected to come to school in their normal uniforms and change into their PE attire right before their lesson.
We at Cairo British School believe that the most effective learning takes place in an environment where discipline is exercised consistently and firmly but fairly. Children thrive in an atmosphere where they know their boundaries but are assured that correction is tempered with kindness and is intended for the well-being of both the group and the individual.
A Code of Conduct which is taught to the students, ensures that they know what is and is not acceptable behaviour as well as the sanctions for infractions.
